HEALTH AND SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

Kids & Company are following the Public Health Guidance for schools (K-12) and child care programs (COVID-19) outlined by The Public Health Agency of Canada. We will continue to do our part to minimize risk exposure and take extra precautions to maintain a safe and healthy environment by doing the following:

Reinforce stringent hand hygiene and respiratory etiquette. This includes encouraging children to wash their hands often with soap and water or alcohol-based hand sanitizer, sneeze and cough into their sleeve and avoid touching their eyes, nose or mouth
Increased monitoring of hand cleaning supplies to ensure all sinks in washrooms, kitchens and classrooms are well stocked with handwashing supplies at all times (e.g., soap and paper towels)
Continue to enforce our rigorous hygiene and sanitizing policies, ensuring regular cleaning and disinfecting of objects and high-touch surfaces to prevent the transmission of viruses

PLEASE HELP US MAINTAIN A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT

Signage will be posted on the main entrance doors stating anyone with COVID-19 symptoms will not be allowed to enter. If your child or anyone in your household has flu-like symptoms, including fever, cough, and/or shortness of breath, please do not come to Kids & Company. Further screening will commence inside the centre of all staff, children and family members asking if there are any new symptoms from the previous day to ensure they are free of all COVID-19 symptoms.

We are providing an essential service for parents and caregivers who are on the frontlines of COVID-19 and the health of the children in our care along with our valued staff must be our priority. It’s vital that we all do our part to flatten the curve and stay home whenever possible. What we do affects others.
