The objective of Session One of the Transcending the Noise Summit is to educate attendees about the inclusion of gender identity or expression in the Canadian Human Rights Act and the Manitoba Human Rights Code and familiarize attendees about common nomenclature and experiences of transgender, including non binary individuals in the workplace and how to guide your workplace to be inclusive. Allison Fenske will touch on human rights legal obligations and Reece Malone will discuss LGBTTQ* terminology and stigmas in the workplace.
