The objective of Day Three of the Transcending the Noise Summit is to educate attendees on the medical and legal intersections when trans individuals enter the justice system, the importance of continued access to health care, and advice on improving service to trans individuals. Speakers will also discuss the legal considerations of trans individuals generally and legal considerations as an individual moves through gender confirming surgery. Logan Oxenham will discuss how to better serve the trans community, including justice intersection, custody corrections, and community portion with probations etc. and the legal systems intersection.  Orienting staff on Trans issues and developing training and policies for staff to follow.  Dr. Reece Malone will discuss the nuances of how to have conversations, the actual tools and practical nuances of conversation, and facilitating the roles of the conversation. 

Allison Fenske and Nicole Naussbaum will discuss navigating medical and legal services, including considerations and timing of legally changing your gender, moving through a gender confirming process, considerations in using X for gender on a passport, and gender expression and gender identity as a protected right.
