About the Opportunity

Meighen Haddad LLP is a well-established, full-service law firm proudly serving clients throughout southwestern Manitoba for over a century. We are currently seeking skilled and motivated Associate Lawyers with a minimum of three years’ experience to join our dynamic legal team in Brandon. The successful candidates will bring experience and interest in one or more of the following practice areas:

• Solicitor\Corporate and Commercial: Advise clients on a wide range of corporate transactions.  Support clients with real estate transactions, wills and estates, agribusiness, and other general legal matters.
• Litigation: Manage civil litigation and administrative law matters from inception through resolution, including court and tribunal appearances, negotiations, and dispute resolution.
• Family Law: Provide compassionate and effective legal representation in matters such as divorce, child and spousal support, and property division.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years post-call experience
• Practising member of the Law Society of Manitoba or eligible to be licensed in Manitoba.
• Strong legal writing, advocacy, negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team-oriented environment
