Urinetown (2024)

The cast certainly "stuck it to the man” during our 31st Lawyers Play, Urinetown: The Musical. This co-production of the Manitoba Bar Association and the Royal MTC is the result of an incredible partnership between these two organizations, where a cast made up entirely of volunteer lawyers, law students, judges, and law professors who take time out of their busy schedules to put on a spectacular show for a great cause. The annual Lawyers Play is one of the MBA events I look forward to most because we see incredible performances from our talented members while raising funds for the Royal MTC and the Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival. Since its inception, this co-production between the Royal MTC and the MBA has raised over $1.1 million!
 
This year was no exception to the rest, as the cast and crew of Urinetown The Musical delivered an entertaining show packed with laughs and memorable musical numbers  

Auditions for this production were held in November 2023, and the cast and crew spent countless hours in rehearsal and planning until the show's big debut on May 7, 2024  

On behalf of the MBA, I want to thank the cast and crew for their remarkable contributions toward the success of 9 to 5 The Musical.  You are all shining examples of talent and generosity in our legal profession, and the Lawyers Play does not succeed without your hard work and dedication.
